IT Education for International Students in Thailand

Looking to study tech in Bangkok? We've been working with international students since 2018, and we know the visa process can feel overwhelming at first.

Our programs are designed specifically for English-speaking students from across Asia and beyond. You'll study alongside classmates from Singapore, Malaysia, India, Korea, and Vietnam. The mix of perspectives makes project work pretty interesting.

We handle the education visa paperwork and work with Thai immigration to keep everything straightforward. Most of our international cohort members find the cultural transition easier than expected—Bangkok's tech scene is welcoming, and there's a solid expat community around our campus in Nonthaburi.

What You'll Need to Apply

The requirements are fairly standard for international education programs. We try to keep the paperwork manageable while meeting Thai Ministry of Education standards.

Academic Background

High school diploma or equivalent credential recognized in your home country. We accept various international qualifications.

  • Official transcripts with English translation
  • Certificate authentication for some regions
  • Previous coursework evaluation

English Proficiency

All instruction happens in English. You don't need perfect English, but you should be comfortable following technical discussions.

  • IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 60 (or equivalent)
  • Previous English-medium education considered
  • Interview assessment available

Valid Passport

Your passport needs at least 18 months validity from your intended start date. This gives buffer time for visa renewals.

  • Biographical pages scanned clearly
  • Previous Thailand visa history if applicable
  • Travel history documentation

Financial Documentation

Thai immigration requires proof you can support yourself during studies. The amount varies by program length.

  • Bank statements from last three months
  • Sponsor letters if family-funded
  • Scholarship documentation when applicable

Health Requirements

Basic medical clearance and vaccination records. Thailand has specific health documentation requirements for education visas.

  • Medical certificate from licensed physician
  • Vaccination history (standard immunizations)
  • Health insurance coverage verification

Portfolio Materials

Not mandatory, but showing previous projects or technical interests helps. We're curious about what drives your interest in tech.

  • GitHub repositories or code samples
  • Design work or technical writing
  • Personal statement about goals

Application and Visa Process

The whole process takes about 8-12 weeks from application to visa approval. We walk you through each step and coordinate with Thai immigration on your behalf.

1

Submit Application

Complete the online form and upload your documents. We review everything within five business days and let you know if anything's missing. Most applicants hear back about acceptance within two weeks.

2

Receive Acceptance Letter

Once accepted, we send your official letter and start preparing visa documents. This letter is what you'll present to the Thai embassy or consulate in your home country. We include detailed instructions for the next steps.

3

Apply for Education Visa

Take your acceptance letter to the nearest Thai embassy. The visa application process varies by country—some places process it in three days, others take three weeks. We provide country-specific guidance based on where you're applying from.

4

Arrive and Register

Come to Bangkok and we'll help you convert your visa to the proper education extension. We also assist with opening a Thai bank account, getting a local phone number, and registering your address with immigration—all the practical stuff that makes settling in easier.

We coordinate your 90-day reporting and annual visa extensions with immigration. Our staff accompanies you to the immigration office in Nonthaburi for the first extension so you understand the process.

Need Thai translations or official letters? We handle requests for bank letters, residence verification, and enrollment certificates. These come up more often than you'd expect.

Planning to visit home during semester breaks? We arrange re-entry permits so your visa stays valid while traveling. The process takes about a week with proper documentation.

Each international student gets paired with a senior student mentor during the first semester. They're usually from your region and can answer the practical questions that don't fit anywhere else.

I

Industry Connections

We introduce international students to Bangkok's startup scene and international tech companies operating in Thailand. Several alumni now work at regional offices for global firms here.

We maintain relationships with nearby apartment buildings and can help arrange viewings before you arrive. Monthly rent near campus ranges from 6,000 to 12,000 baht depending on the place.

O

Orientation Week

The week before classes includes practical sessions on using Bangkok's BTS and MRT systems, finding grocery stores, and understanding Thai customs. Past students say this made the first month much less stressful.

C

Cultural Integration

Monthly social events bring together Thai and international students. We also organize optional Thai language classes—knowing basic Thai helps a lot with daily life, though most young people here speak some English.

Upcoming International Intake Dates

We run two main intake periods annually for international students. Application deadlines are earlier than domestic admissions due to visa processing time.

  • March 15 2026

Application Deadline - August 2026 Intake

Submit applications by this date for programs starting in August. We need the extra time to process your acceptance letter and allow for visa applications at Thai embassies worldwide.

  • May 20-22 2026

    Virtual Information Sessions

Join online Q&A sessions with current international students and program directors. These happen on Zoom at times convenient for different time zones across Asia. You can ask about curriculum, student life, or visa processes.

  • August 4 2026

    International Student Orientation

Mandatory orientation week for all new international students. We cover immigration requirements, campus facilities, Bangkok navigation, and practical living tips. You'll also meet your mentor and classmates before classes begin.

  • August 11 2026

    Classes Begin - Fall Semester

First day of instruction for the August intake. Most international students arrive in Bangkok about 10 days before this date to get settled, complete immigration registration, and attend orientation.

  • October 10 2026

Application Deadline - January 2027 Intake

Deadline for spring semester admission. This intake is smaller and better suited for students transferring from other programs or those who missed the August deadline. Same visa processing timeline applies.
